One Church, One Faith, One Lord
The Church is one. This ‘oneness’ is the first of the four marks of the Church, marks which distinguish the true Church of Jesus Christ from all other imposters. It is a oneness primarily of the faith that all true Catholics follow, the same faith revealed by God through his Son, Jesus Christ, preserved and passed on by his apostles and their successors. The Church is one also through her liturgy, the Mass which, despite the superficial variations in our diverse Western and Eastern Rites, nonetheless follows the same theological foundation—each rite celebrating a valid and dignified eucharistic liturgy that fittingly represents the continuation of our Lord’s sacrifice on the cross.
It is the divine mission of the Church, given to her by Christ himself, to teach and baptize all nations, drawing all souls to the true God and stamping out any error, blasphemy and heresy that might prove obstacles to her mission. The purpose of our Chair of Unity Octave is to focus our attention every year on this mission to bring all mankind to Christ.
The enemies of God, however, see things in a different light. Their idea of unity is to do away with objective truth and replace it with a more ‘tolerant’ world view in which the subjective beliefs of each individual are of equal value. The revealed truths of God are worth no more than the beliefs of any other religion, even when they contradict the Catholic faith. The apostate Bergoglio has said this quite openly time and again, and it is for this reason that the Conciliar Church has no unity. The only unity Bergoglio believes in (and insists on) is that of unquestioning adherence to his own woke agenda, and his Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies that admit every belief imaginable except the true Catholic faith. All falsehoods are equally worthy, only the truth is to be discarded.
During this Chair of Unity Octave, our most fervent prayers must be reserved for these demonic agents of Satan who threaten not merely the unity of Christ’s Church, but her very existence. Heretics like Luther and Calvin set up ‘rival’ churches outside the true Church. Bergoglio is far more dangerous and evil, seeking to destroy the Church completely. Less evil but equally dangerous are those Catholics who venerate this demon incarnate as the ‘Holy Father’, showing him the respect due only to the Vicar of Christ. Through their blindness, they enable the destruction of the Church their ‘pope’ is openly imposing. We must pray for their conversion. Ironically, while the world seems to be divesting itself of the left’s woke agenda, the Church that is supposed to be the Guardian of Truth is doubling down on its modernistic rejection of all things Catholic. We must pray this week for the true unity of Christ’s Mystical Body, and especially for the conversion of those within that Church who have the influence and power to overthrow the Beast of Hell who is trying to destroy her.
Tomorrow is a day of rejoicing for all people of good will and common sense. With the end of the Biden regime, we are filled with new hope for our nation. Let us remind ourselves at this time, however, that our nation, even the whole world, is less important in the eyes of God than his Bride the Church. Pray then for the things of God to catch up with and surpass the things of Caesar.
