The Guild of St. Peter ad Vincula

We live in a world of misguided experimentation.  Every single day we are bombarded with the latest ridiculous attempts by the elite to test out their theories.  And unfortunately, it is “we the people” who are the guinea pigs in those experiments.

It doesn’t seem to matter how crazy the idea might be, the nutcases in control simply forge ahead with it, paying no attention whatever to the possible (and often inevitable) consequences.  Thus we have biological males competing head to head with young girls in sports where they have an obvious advantage.  Crazy yes, but just try to object and you’ll be labelled a sexist or transphobic, or whatever new adjective they’ve invented along with their whole new set of pronouns.  Or take their answer to the rising crime statistics.  First they come up with the blatantly ridiculous notion that we should abolish the bail system, free everyone from jail, close our mental asylums, and allow the violent criminals and the insane to run amok in our streets.  Then they think they can improve on their madness by defunding the police and even disbanding them altogether so there’s no one to protect us from their marauding gangs of thugs.

Eventually of course, the backlash against all this insanity will bring an end to one experiment after another, as common sense prevails and prudent self-interest is restored.  How, for example, can commerce survive in cities that refuse to prosecute the kind of massive shoplifting we’ve seen in the stores of California?  And without the income that comes from that commerce, how can the city survive?  Or the state for that matter?  California is not the only state to witness the mass exodus of its most wealthy citizens, businesses (and taxpayers!).  Other blue states are suffering from a similar drain and will continue to do so as long as their citizens are forced to step over hypodermic needles and human waste on their way to work.  With relief we read that the State of Oregon is trying to recriminalize the sale and possession of hard drugs like heroin and fentanyl after their insane experiment of making all these substances legal resulted in umpteen thousands of deaths by overdose.  Sooner or later common sense forces the mad experimenters to “reconsider” the wisdom of giving in too far to the devil’s wish that “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.”  A similar backlash is taking place against the defunding of our police forces as more and more leftwing politicians are being burgled, raped, carjacked and murdered.  Unfortunately, many innocent victims must endure a similar fate until things get back to normal.

Frankly, we are tired of being the guinea pigs of these mad scientists who insist on wreaking their havoc on the population time and again.  Any backlash against them is purely superficial, as they will never cease to blame others for the failure of their ideas rather than putting the blame on the ideas themselves.  And that brings us to the real point—that our society simply follows the Church.  Who started the world on this path to insanity if not the Church of Rome with all the changes to the faith and culture of Christendom, all the experimental liturgies and clown masses, the open discussion of priestly celibacy, women priests, homosexual marriage, and other changes once considered unthinkable by every Catholic?  If the world is what it is today, it is chiefly because we have lost that one great beacon of truth that was the Church as she gave in to the ways of the world and sailed the ship of Peter on to the rocks.  And yet, those in the Church lay the blame for this disaster everywhere but on Vatican II.  Pray that the evil within our beloved Church is rooted out and destroyed.  Because we will not be guinea pigs.  We are the children of God.
