The Jesus Prayer, also known simply as The Prayer, is a short formulaic prayer esteemed and advocated especially among the ancient Eastern churches.  It is sung here in Old Church Slavonic.  The devils and demons hate this chant!  It is a simple yet effective prayer which is appropriate at all times – walking, riding a bus, waiting in a queue, everywhere!  Close your eyes and allow it to enter you.  It is not repetitious.  It is the gateway to the Eternal.
