A New Pope?

As we’re all aware, the Vatican II Church elected a new leader this past week.  The usual conciliar ambiguities are plentiful in this man’s past, both in his words and actions, including his involvement in the removal of the conservative Bishop Strickland.  However, his decision to break from Bergoglio’s false humility by wearing the appropriate traditional papal regalia at his first appearance may signal a departure from the openly defiant refusal of his predecessor to accept the dignity of his office.  It’s a small thing in itself but is indicative that he is not going to follow Bergoglio in all his errors.  For that we may permit ourselves a glimmer of hope.  This is a time for observing closely Prevost’s every action and pronouncement, praying that the Holy Ghost may inspire him to move in a new direction back towards the faith of our fathers.
